Can I install a virtual OS on an external disk and access this OS from another computer if VirtualPc 2004 is installed on both computers ??? Thanks for any help

I have software which only runs in DOS, which works great in Virtual PC, but booting from a captured "A" drive is not what I want to do ( I keep losing those darned diskettes).

After 5-10 mins of running redhat9 in VPC2004 it loses the keyboard, closing X and back to bash, sometimes get the same thing on cmd line. Only fix is a restart of the VM session (have to just close it as cant type shutdown).

VPC 2004 seems to run FreeBSD just fine, but hangs on me when trying to running X with "unable to find a core keyboard device" & "unable to determine the screen layout".
