I've run Windows98 on VMware on a P4 2.0GHz machine
(WinXP host) and I've also run the same configuration
using the trial version of VirtualPC 5.2.  The speed of
each were roughly the same (about 1/2 of the performance

I can not install Virtual pc. When I want to instal it
says : " installshield wizard completed. the wizard was
interrupted before Virtual pc could be completeley
installed. I have a Windows Server 2003 , Entherprise

I have been able to install the MSDN version of VPC this past week, and see
no advantages over VMWare, except for price, which is pretty sizable.  In
fact, VPC is slower, as far as I can tell, when running on the same machine,
so I can be sure it's comparing apples to apples.

On my laptop I have Windows XP as the host and Windows 2000 server as a
guest. Whilst mobile, not connected to a LAN, I'm not sure what setting to
use for networking. I cannot even ping the guest from the host.

I used VMWare for simulate/testing a Winodws 2000
Clustering. Because with it I can create plain disks for
