Now that Microsoft has released VPC 2004 for Windows, will
the disk images it creates be compatible with VPC 6.1 for
Mac? I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to open my
older VPC 5 (Windows) images on my 15" 1.25 GHz PowerBook

I have Virtual PC 5.1 (I have not yet gotten VPC 2004)
running Redhat 9. Everything is working fine (including
time sync using the timesync daemon) but I would like to
have a 1280x1024 full color display. The best I can get

Has anyone DL'd VPC2004 and found that the networking is
much slower that it's predecessor?
I use the product for application repackaging to minimize
frequent re-imaging of machines.

I am having problems w/ networking. when I check the vpc
option in my network settings, my internet connection is
lost completely. when I uncheck, it is back. I have
tried uninstalling and reinstalling. this stinks.

I'm trying to update a Windows 2000 VM to the latest
service level using Windows Update but it's not working.
The configuraiton is Virtual PC 2004 (Build 582)
installed on Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 1.

Is there any difference between the version of VPC that
was included in Volume License customers' cd kits and the
retail version? The version that came with our Volume
License kit is Build 582.

VirtualPC was available as part of MSDN. Is that the
case? If so, in which CD is it hidden away?

I assume that like VMWare, there is a substitute for control alt delete to
start up an OS in a VPC session, but I can't find it in the doc. What is it?
