Anyone seeing Virtual PC RTM guest images lock up on
closing? For example when shutting down the VPC it locks
up before merging changes (if asked to do so).
This only occurs on my home PC which is running an AMD

I'm trying to build a ip boot disk to work with the
virtual PC. Can anyone tell me what network card it
emulates. I have found no information on Microsofts site
regarding this.

When I restart a VM from a saved state, and later turn off the machine
using "Turn off and delete changes", I want the machine to restart next
time from the previously saved state.
As a workaround, I found that I can backup the .vmc and the .vsv file

I have some old DOS CAD programs that I would like to run

I just purchased a Dell D600 notebook that does not have

I created a virtual machine. The new virtual PC tooke all HDD space (10GIG).
I wanted to delete it to release back the space but after the deletion of
the virtual HDD, it doesn't relased the HDD space.
How can i have my HDD space back ?

I can not get the Virtual Machine to recognize my
bootable CD's (Windows 98 or Windows 2000 Server).  I
have created a virtual machine for each OS and have hit
start to get the session running.  It asks for the CD and

With VMWare, I have been able to have a "network" with server OS's and
Workstation OS's on one machine. PDC, IP addresses, dragging from one to
another, the whole deal.  Can I do that with VPC? With only one NIC?

A logon script that happily runs on our 9x/NT/2K/XP
workstations doesn't seem to run without errors on a new
VPC2004 setup running a win98 install (on Windows XP host
system.)
