I had 5.2 trial on Winnt 4.0 workstation. But when I am
trying to install OS/2 as a guest OS, there is a problem.
The virtual machine can read in the OS/2 installation
disk, disk 1. When I insert the disk 2 as prompted, the

Download and installed VPC 2004 (Build 582).
On a new PC with WinXP Pro SP1 Eng.
I now have Win95/Win98/WinXP/WinXP(Japanese).. etc
and now I realize that under "settings" each VPC

I am using Virtual PC 5.2 Trial, and have been trying to
construct a simple network of the physical host and two
virtual machines running Windows 2000 Pro.

I try to install the PDC Longhorn on VPC 2004, bu it seems that the install
freezes at the "detecting hardware" step. Did anyone succeed to resolve the

hardware is old MAC desktop G3 - OS 9.2.2 with VPC 4.0.1
and Windows 98 - don't want to upgrade beyond that because

I am trying to install MSDOS 6.0 and cannot remember how to install the
CDRom drivers. Does anyone remember? Ideally a setup program would suit for
whatever generic CDRom drivers that VirtualPC requires.

I'm assuming that you cannot run CIPHER /W on 2K and XP systems and specify
that it only write 0s (0x00) ... Is there a freeware utility to only write
zeroes to unused space on a drive for 2K and/or XP similar to what CIPHER
does ???

I'm trying to load Windows NT in a Virtual PC. The DOS portion of the setup
works well. The VPC reboots. After the reboot, I reinsert/recapture the
CDROM and the windows portion starts. Four times now, I've blue screened
during the setup. Twice was with the actual physical CDROM and ...
