VPC 5 (Win) to VPC 6 (Mac) Formula?13 Jan 2004 23:49 GMT4
Is there a procedure I can use to migrate VPC 5 (Win)
images to VPC 6 (Mac)? As SJ pointed out, VPC Win and Mac
emulate different hardware. So I tried booting a VPC 5
image with the Win 2K OS CD in an attempt to reinstall

I used to use Connectix v5.1/v5.2 , but recently upgraded licenses to VPC
2004.
Networking in v5.1 worked for me flawlessly!! Having Win2K Guest pc's
running on an XP Host machine.  Using Virtual Switch.

I think I once read that the Virtual PC included a Virtual Application
feature (like Citrix where you could start an Emulation with only one
program and without  the windows Taskbar etc., so you don't get the fealing
that you have two operationsystem running).

Has anyone tried loading FreeBSD on VPC2004 and if so
which version? I tried loading FBSD 5.2 and can get
through the drive partitioning and selection of packages,
however once I start the actual load I keep getting

I have installed Linux ( Fedora Core ) under Virtual PC
and everything is running wonderfully except the sound.  
Any ideas how to get this going or a special setting to

The issue is caused due to restrictions which had to be written to the Cisco
router (only a certain amount of NICs with specific MACs are allowed to

My host OS is a Window XP Pro, running on Athlon XP2400+
[2 Ghz], 1 Ghz internal memory and I use a Asus NVdia

further than the first bootdisk when I try to install an
OS. So far I've only tried NT4 workstation and Server and
these both fail on Bootdisk 1 with my machine locking

My environment.
Host; XP pro with latest patches
Guest; NT 4.0 SP6

My host is Windows XP Professional English version. I
have installed my own copy of Windows XP Professional,

I notice that the graphics drivers from the host have not
