I've downloaded a trial copy of VPC 2004 but how can I
find the "Virtual Machine Addition" ?

Ok I am positively stumped as to how to get my XP (host) machine to
network with the 98 (guest) VM.
Can someone give me some steps as into what I need to configure on both
the XP and 98 side in order for the 98 machine to be able to browse the

for some reason, my guest OS fails to operate in
1600x1200 (it always goes to a lower resolution). is this
the OS's fault, or is VPC emulated graphics card/monitor
incompaitable with this resolution?

does anybody know how to setup an WinServer2003 as VPC,
without disturbing the existing Network. i.e. Is it
better to setup the guest as local or Shared Network?

I just installed the trial version of VirtualPC 2004 and I
noticed that I was not required to restart my pc after
installation.  Can anyone explaing why?

OK, I've got my licensed copy of Virtual PC installed, and it's the 2004
version. I have a need to install a linux distribution (not my first choice
of OS's), and I need to be able to setup the XWindows server, but I don't

Apologies if this has been asked before (searched back but
couldn't find anything).
Installed VPC fine, created a new virtual machine and
hardrive using the wizard. Launched the virtual machine for

Having probs on my desktop.  Unable to load an OS on VPC
as it locks the whole machine partway through.  Tried
different OS's e.g. W2K, XP, ME, 98 all the same.  Tried
on my laptop and no problem.  Desktop is as follows:-

I got an AMD platform with a Athlon XP 2600+, but when
I try to use a VM, like during installation, the HDD Led
of the PC is Hanging, and nothing on the Host pc respond,
even a CtrlAltSuppr... Don't know what to do about it,

I have 3 CD's which hold an image of Japanese NT4; that
can be used on a normal PC ( i.e. not a virtual one ) by
just rebotting the PC with the first CD in the CD drive
