I test Virtual PC on 1.6 GHz P4 with 750 MB RAM. For
Virtual PC I reserved 256 MB and install Windows XP.
Start of VPC is too slow (aprox. 5 minutes!!!) to login
page.

I installed 2000 server and then did a repair. When
Virtual Machine reboots into the o/s during initial
install, I lose my keyboard/mouse functionality. I am
unable to continue with the server upgrade.

I installed RedHat 9 on a virtual disk with VCP.
When i'm busy with redhat and i want to switch from the
VPC screen to my normal desktop it's impossible.
Alt-tab for instance doesn't work then.

I am new with VPC, can someone tell me if it normally takes 3-4 hours to
install an guest OS.  My stuffs: Xeon 2.0 GHZ Pent 4 with 512MB RAM, the
host OS is WinXP.  It took me close to 4 hours to install W2003 and 3 hrs to
install a XP Pro.  Am I under power on the RAM?

I installed a Mandrake 9.2 on Virtual PC 2004 without
problems, but when it boots I'm not able to type anything
with the keyboard in the Virtual Pc window (the mouse
works right).

changed to 4bit colour and i dont know how to get more
colours i tried installing the driver but that failed and

I am trying to use an older digitizer and plotter and
assume that I need to load the appropriate drivers in the
legacy OS. Is there anything I need to do to configure the

Hi, Just downloaded the trial and saw the dynamic disk
was 16 gigs so I droped it and created a fixed size vdisk.
went to do some other stuff and then went to winxp
defrag ... hmmm a big swatch of frags?

disappeared in v2004 vs. v5.2 (trial)?
I've seen some discussion and oblique reference in the help files to using
"Remote Desktop" connections to access guest sessions, but no discussion of
