I have a PC running XP with an Intel Pro/1000 MT network adaptor. Virtual PC will not recognize the NIC and, in fact, continually misidentifies the NIC and refuses to allow the drivers to be installed.

Thanks for reply. In the case where you have a server to upgrade would it be possible to: 1. install VPC software on an 2000 server for example. 2. install the new 2003 on a VPC.

I have a VPC image that runs fine in Shared NAT mode. It can see the rest of the network but the network cannot see it. I believe the way to fix this is to change the settings so that the VPC uses the host network card, but

Has it occurred to anyone that if you create a virtual pc with just the os windows or linux in it and either outlook or evolution respectively, than wrap another layer of security around it by running an intrusion detection
