I'm trying to install Linux on Virtual PC 2004. I've tried various distros and none will install. Suse and Mandrake work fine until I see "VFS: mounted root (ext2/minix filesystem)." Then it just stops.

I'm running VPC04 on a P3 1.13GHz notebook with Windows XP and just completed a Windows 98SE install - it took 2 to 3 hours. I fully expected the VPC session's performance to be below that of the host PC, but based what I've read, I didn't think it would be this slow.

I copied an XP VPC machine and ran Windows mini Setup on the second image. Gave the machine a new name but the MAC address stayed the same which means that both machines always appear to be the same on my domain..

I have a network card installed as well as an ISDN device in the host machine. Within VP I can only address the network card but not the ISDN device. I cannot find in the help files that installing an ISDN driver is not possible.
