I'm a newbie with Virtual PC 2004
I have the 45 day trial installed. I have installed a copy of WinXP English
and I use the German (Swiss) keyboard layout.
I noticed whenever I press the backslash key, the keyboard stops working

Has anyone tried running Windows Update from within VPC?
Im getting an error accessing the page (0x80070193). Just
wondering if this feature is at all supported. Thanks.

Trying to install Windows ME (to test my software on it) and the MSDN
download extracts to a directory with setup.exe, etc., and does not give me
a bootable image.  How do I go about creating installing the OS on VPC undr
those circimstances?

I guess I must like pain, but I cannot install Windows ME
as a guest machine.  The actual installation procedure is
simple and easy, identical to installing Windows 98SE.

second or third alternates for the 1st virtual hard disk??
I can't seemt to get the first and second hard disk to
show up at the same time. I want to use the second as

I am having problems changing my monitor resolution from
600x800 to 1024x768.
It will allow me to change it but never applies the
settings even after rebooting.

When my cursor is inside of the VPC and I need to get back out to the host
machine, is there a key combination to do this? Right now, I have to do
CTRL-ALT-DEL, this brings up the task manager of the host, then I hit cancel
and can get to the other windows.

Can 2000 Server run on Virtual PC? I was at MS Security
Summit yesterday (Charlotte, NC) and they were using the
program in their demos. I can't find anything that
specifies if you can or can't load 2000 Server onto VPC
