I have a copy of Connectrix VirtualPC 5.2. I have it installed on my Win2000 machine so that I can run a program that will only run under Win98. Although I have had it for a year, I've never done much experimentation with it; I just use it to use that one program.

I'm using VirtualPC to run a Gentoo (Linux), which runs perfectly, in console, in X Windows, networking, etc. But when I tell it to shut down, it boots down to a console line that says "Power Down." So I close the VM

I have configured the host to use the loop-back adapter. After installing a guest, I can't see the guest. I ping the IP of the host from guest but get "request time out". Does the guest have to be using the loop-back too?

Virtual PC 2004 (Build 582) I have a software that use serial port to communicate with a card but using virtual PC doesn't work. With a logger I discovered that MarkParity and SpaceParity are inverted!!!
