I built a new XP SP1 VM using RIS, everything works fine sysprep'd it and
ghosted it to a file.
I then used the ghost image to load a phisycal machine, and everything works
fine except the physical machine keeps detecting a Virtual PC mouse device

legecy application/DOS to connect to an old Novell server.

I'm having trouble installing Redhat 9 to a virtual machine on
VPC2004.
I create a new virtual machine, accepting the default values.  Then
from the VPC console I start the new VM.  Under the CD menu, I capture

VPC2004 on XPPro. The host machine has 768MB RAM and min/max 1200MB
pagefile.
I need to run guests in excess of the amount of RAM, say two servers with
400MB each and a couple of workstations with 128MB each. VPC does not allow

i just download and installed vpc 2005 beta to test
after installing and reading through the docs provided
i accessed http://localhost:1024 and i am getting

I use VPC 2004 with two 2 virtual disk, on a Windows 98 guest system (host
is Win XP). I have just created a expanding virtual HDD, and set it as the
3rd HDD. But it does not appear in Win98... weird... when I have a look on
win98 device management windows, I can see 3 HDD ...

When i start virtual pc the next error message is

"Virtual PC could not open the Virtual Machine Network

are you all trying to lie so you can promote windows
cause everywhere i look in help files here where i
downloaded it from(downloads.com) and they all say the
guest os can only be windows

My philosophy for this was to keep it simple, and to not duplicate the
information already available. It would include:
  1. Links to the current sites (notice this is #1 on the list)
  2. Newsgroup-specific QA that doesn't really need to be in a site

Has anyone tried WinCE .Net 4.2 (CEPC image) generated
using Platform Builder under Virtual PC 2004?

Now that XP64 is easily obtainable, I've managed to get most of everything I
need to run, run under XP64, however it's a pain that the MS-DOS/ OS/2 &
Win16 emulation simply isn't there... And unfortunatly Virtual PC will not
run... It complains that the win32 emulated memory space ...

I have some ancient netware box that I found out I have to support, and I'd
rather 'virtualize it'... I can load the OS & patch it, but I cant get the
drivers to load, or the patched server.exe crashes, once it has been patched
for protected mode bios access for pci drivers...

Since I assume I cannot install VM Add-on to VPC Redhat
9, how could I share a folder in my host XP to Redhat?

Host OS: Windows Server 2003
Guest OS: Windows XP
When I access files on a share on the host (Windows Server 2003) from
within the guest (Windows XP), Explorer just hangs everytime I try it.

Been evaluating VPC as a testing tool in our shop, but
lack of support for USB devices is a real showstopper.  
Any chance MS plans to include USB support in future
releases?
