I have been unable to get many of my CDs to run under
Virtual PC. After much time spent on trying to get this
working, I found the only CDs I could get to work are the
ones that "Autorun". I have also found that if I eject and

Rename an existing .vmc file to "WinXP SP2.vmc" and try to
open it.  I get a command line error.  I renamed the file
to "WinXPSP2.vmc" and it worked fine.
Note: The space in the file name is not the problem since

I would like to know if I can uses APIs to detect within one of my program
that it is running on a VPC machine.

I've been experiencing extremely slow shutdowns and startups in a W2Ksp4
guest pc.
After selecting "Shut down", the guest pcs seems to hang for about 2 minutes
before anything happens, then the various Window message boxes appear and it

I have Dell latitude X300 laptop with XP OS. When I
install Virtual PC and reboot my laptop I lose all my
network cards configuration. When I do IPCONFIG only I
see is: Media Status Unknow.
