If you have a software firewall installed on the host, such as Zone Alarm, will it prevent external access to the guest pcs? Or do you need a firewall installed inside each guest pc? I am not worried about programs inside the guest pc accessing the network;

VPC won't work with host serial ports above com9. It always complains about failing to open them. I am 99% certain this is because it isn't naming them correctly. Under NT you have to give the device name as \\?\COM10 etc.
