I am setting up a test envionment for Exchange 2003. I have multiple
instances of VPC running at the same time and have unique MAC addresses on
each.
They are all on the same subnet as the host pc.

Is there some way to make VirtualPC take advantage of the
extra CPUs in a multiprocessor or hyperthreaded system?  
When I install it on such a box, task manager always shows
all but one CPU idle even though there are multiple VMs

I am a software designer/developer and am evaluating VPC.
A weird thing is happening. I compiled one of my
installation exes which installs a second icon (from the
program exe) to the desktop pointing to a newly created

If you have a software firewall installed on the host, such as Zone Alarm,
will it prevent external access to the guest pcs? Or do you need a firewall
installed inside each guest pc?
I am not worried about programs inside the guest pc accessing the network;

VPC won't work with host serial ports above com9.  It always
complains about failing to open them.
I am 99% certain this is because it isn't naming them correctly.
Under NT you have to give the device name as \\?\COM10 etc.

some keys mapped wrongly, so I uninstalled the keyboard
driver and restart. Afterthat, my mouse and keyboard not
