limit on adding VPCs to domain?24 Jul 2004 11:23 GMT5
I've been experimenting with sysprep'ing so that I can supply known disk
images (.vhd files) to several users in-house. As part of the process I
needed to supply the login/password of someone allowed to add computers to
our Windows domain. I was suprised when my login/password ...

VPC 2004 versus 5.2 followup24 Jul 2004 00:09 GMT10
I'd asked before why it was that VPC 2004 was so much slower than 5.2
(the last Connectix version) and didn't get much in the way of
meaningful responses other than a useless suggestion to add more RAM to
my machine. (Is 1 GB of RAM not enough to run a 128 MB VM? But I digress.. ...

Screen Resolution23 Jul 2004 22:46 GMT1
I can not get into a full screen mode on a VPC. Some machines work fine and great, the others do not. The machines have almost identical hardware. Basically what I do is create the image and move it to a client OS. The client can not get into VPC's full screen option.
Virtual PC installer STILL broken23 Jul 2004 00:21 GMT3
When I try to run it, it says it can't find the iscript engine and
terminates.  And making an administrative image just gets me a few blank
directories.  Anyone know when a fix for this will be out?
Diff Disk Question (Newbie)22 Jul 2004 20:04 GMT2
I'm interested in setting up a base disk that I can then use as the basis of
diff disks for various other needs.  If I do this, can I make changes to the
original (Master) disk once I set up diff disks?  For example, how are
critical updates dealt with?  Can you just run the ...
Expanding Display Size and Decreasing Fixed Hard Disk Size22 Jul 2004 18:52 GMT2
I have two questions that I hope someone can help me with:
1) Is there anyway possible to expand or add to the choices of display size within the Virtual Machine, possibly by making changes to the registry within the Guest VPC?  I'm using a Dell Inspiron 8500 running 1920 X 1200 ...

unreadable.
Any suggestions?  Thanx!

When I start VPC and Win2k3 server I need to press ctrl-alt-del to get to the login screen.  When I do this the host workstation running the Novell client takes over and gives me the options for task list etc.
It looks as though the host workstation is getting keyboard input and ...

Compacting VirtualPC disk22 Jul 2004 02:24 GMT18
I had a VirtualPC (2004) disk that grew to 8.2 GB.  I
cleaned up the disk by deleting un-needed files and ran
defrag.  My physical file grew to 10.2 GB after defrag.  I
then closed down the VirtualPC and ran the compact tool.  It
