I don't get any network access from VPC. When I install I get th error message telling me that setup wasnt able to install network, and to run install.bat after a reboot. I've tried running the .bat file.

hi people i have install virtual pc on my windows XP pro so it work perfectly but now i whant to do i defrag on my real computer xp pro but he stop and he tell me this: these files cannot be defraged = hdd.vhd

Is there a way to enable shared folders with a Linux guest? Maybe some pre-Microsoft VirtualPC additions that will allow this? Otherwise I might have to go back to VMWare because this is really a feature I need and I am mostly running Linux guests.

I am running on a Dell laptop (Latitude C840, 512 Megs, 1.8G P4). There are two NIC's that appear in the system, one that activates when docked in the station and another that is on the side that I manually connect a cable to when un-docked. They appear as a 3COM 3C920

My computer has 2 GB RAM. I can start one console, if I want to start the next console, a message is displayed that says i don't have enough memory. I'm running Windows XP Prof. Systeminformation says I have 1,6 GB free memory.

I recently installed a fresh (clean install) copy of XP on a multi-boot machine. I thought I'd be able to install VPC and simply migrate the old .VSV files over. Sadly not. Is there an easy way? I'm on Connectix 5.2 in case it's relevant.

I now using trial version of virtual pc 2004, and I plan to buy retail version a month later. So do I need to reinstall anything or can i just copy some files so that I can use back the virtual machine I created to retail version of vpc?
