Before setting the Creative Labs SB 16 PnP Driver it was a matter of seconds starting up Win3.11 before the Win logo disappeared. Then to have sound I proceeded applying the drivers' files, afaik that is sbbasic.exe + s16dw3up.exe, while ctcmbbs.exe doesn't fit in, since

Just installed Win3.1 from may old IBM PS1 machine onto a new XP machine running Virtual PC. I need to install a program of CD but Win3.1 only can access the 'c' and 'a' drive.

I just got VPC, and instaleld my Windows XP. But when I try to go to Internet Explorer, nothing happens. I have spent hours doing the Setup Guides in t and Automatic Internet detection but nothing works. With my actuall PC, I never had to configured anything.

okay...what happened was, i installed service pack 2, and it messed up my computer, so i uninstalled it...but that is besides the point. When I installed everything I get this warning from Svchost saying: required dll missing, reinstall this program, something like that anyway. ...

Hello all. I am not a networking person, so bear with me. I have three vpc images. One of them is a domain controller with an IP of 192.168.1.200 and the others are numbererd 192.168.1.201 - 202. The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.

Here's another question that could go in a VS newsgroup. Has anyone got a good explaination of how a Differential disk works in conjunction with a fixed disk? Just trying to estimate maximum drive space used by Differential's for multiple VM's on one host.

I can't access my cd-rom drive from my Windows 98 Virtual PC. I had to install windows 98 through a shared folder. Once I'm in windows 98 SE, my device manager window is empty and I can't access my CD-ROM drive. I can't even use an image file and drag it on the "cd" icon.

I Upgraded to SP2 on the host, and then proceded to upgrade to SP2 on the virtual PC. The virtual PC gets past the log in (slowley), but then all I get is the desktop picture, not the desktop, nothing. Sending CTR+ALT+DEL has no effect, and rebooting the virtual PC just gets me
