Assigning IP for guest OS to access the internet22 Aug 2004 22:17 GMT3
I have managed to get my guest OS to access the internet via NAT.
But it seems that my guest OS is using the same IP as the host OS to access
the internet.
Is there a way to make the guest OS to use/display a different IP address

I dowloaded the free trial of Virtual PC. I wonder if Microsoft has any
special files that Virtual PC can use to automatically load a preexisting
Windows Me OS.
Thank you for any leads.

Got it, now some more questions...21 Aug 2004 00:40 GMT2

So far, I've only had Linux installed under the eval, and I'm wondering
real and emulated hardware  (Why did Microsoft ...?)21 Aug 2004 00:38 GMT1
I notice Linux reports the same CPU information in VPC as the hosting
Windows OS. Then the CPU isn't emulated for the guest OS? Why emulate Intel
architecture on an Intel host? Would just virtualizing/partitioning the
hardware achieve better performance without emulate?
