I have managed to get my guest OS to access the internet via NAT. But it seems that my guest OS is using the same IP as the host OS to access the internet. Is there a way to make the guest OS to use/display a different IP address

I dowloaded the free trial of Virtual PC. I wonder if Microsoft has any special files that Virtual PC can use to automatically load a preexisting Windows Me OS. Thank you for any leads.

I notice Linux reports the same CPU information in VPC as the hosting Windows OS. Then the CPU isn't emulated for the guest OS? Why emulate Intel architecture on an Intel host? Would just virtualizing/partitioning the hardware achieve better performance without emulate?

Running VPC on w2kpro has some serious issues. created a simple "other" virtual machine, with a 200m fixed size HD and 128m ram. just to test it. haven't installed anything, and didn't have a CD in the tray.
