WinXP - Host <--> Win2003 Server as DC - Guest12 Sep 2004 09:50 GMT10
Installing Windows 2003 Server as a guest OS won't be a
problem.
But, if Win2003 becomes a DC, and a host (WinXP) joins the
domain, should I expect any problems?
Router12 Sep 2004 08:19 GMT4
I am configuring a router machine in a guest. The host only actually has one
NIC. I reckon that if I build each student (training room) machine with
Windows 2000 guests, with 2 NICs - one configured for local only, the other
the physical NIC, I should then have the ability to ...
ISO vs direct CD access12 Sep 2004 05:18 GMT3
Using VPC5, if I set the VM to use the ISO image of a boot DVD, some files
are inaccessable, however mounting the exact same ISO through Nero
ImageDrive under a drive letter allows me unfetted access fro within the VM.
Is this a bug with the now ancient version of VPC?

The system proposes me, when installing Win2k3 under VPC2k4, 15,99 GB (i

xp guest with sp211 Sep 2004 01:03 GMT3
I built out a clean XP image in VPC 2004 with Norton AV 2004 which was
running great until I applied SP2 and rebooted the VM, then the VM runs at
100% cpu eternally (in my case 30 minutes until I powered it off) and
nothing in the task list seems to be the culprit. This same ...

files seamlessly to Virtual Server 2005.
printing in Virtual PC 200411 Sep 2004 00:35 GMT1
I'm currently having problems with printing inside VPC 2004.  I am making a
direct connection to a HP LaserJet 4M Plus, using Windows 2000 as the host as
well as the client.  The host automatically detects the printer and works
just fine, but the client cannot detect the printer. ...

Hi all, I am a newbie to VPC. I am planning on installing a Server 2003 host

running OS. Should there be any issues I should be aware of if I plan on
running this setup for everyday use? Also can I install Windows ...

Windows 2000 with Windows XP10 Sep 2004 03:59 GMT2
I have XP on my computer and Windows 2000 Server on the Virtual PC. To log on
the Windows 2000 server, you must hit C/A/D but that brings me to my task
manager.  How can I log into Windows 2000 using cntl/alt/del without getting
to my task manager?
Scroll wheel doesn't work at all in any program in VPC10 Sep 2004 01:35 GMT2
I have the VM additions installed on the VPC. My main operating system is XP
Pro and my VPC operating system is XP Pro. I have a Logitech wireless
optical mouseman for a mouse.
It will not scroll in anything, even Explorer.
