I have been trying to spoof the time and date of a virtual machine on
VM startup time.
Of course, the obvious option is to change my box time/date when
starting the VM, however, that is annoying to do everytime.

i (or the setup app) could not install the network
ethernet switch driver. The install progress screen starts
but cancles with an error message, that says I do not have
enough rights to do that.

Virtual PC would make a great tools for testing expiration date
problems, but it resynchronizes the data and time every few seconds.
If I change the date via the control panel Virtual PC changes it.  How
do I keep it that way?

I think it would be so nice if there was a tool that could make a virtual
hard disk file from an external hard drive.  I have a machine that is dying
slowly and would like to put the hard drive from it into a firewire
enclosure, make an image of the disk into a VirtualPC hard ...

I lose sound when I use I installed win98se and winMe on my VPC6. What do I
have to do to get sound in these Operation Systems.  I ran WINXP and I get
sound, but I use I for homeschooling for my children and Some of the

MS is holding VERY tight on this topic, but a few XP SP2
speed improvements, tweaking to handle Win2003 as a host,
and new VPC additions doesn't say 25MB to me, and a
tweaked NT4ws network code esp. when its only 40mb to
