I acquired VirtualPC primarily for use by my wife, who has a secondary account (with full privileges, no limits) in my Panther configuration. I installed the Virtual PC List in my Mac's Applications folder while logged in as the Panther administrator (my user account).

I know this may sound impossible, but it did happen to me 2 times. Each time it did it to me, I lost a virtual disk of more than 3gb size and weeks of hard maintenance work. Here is what I think the cause of the problem. I somehow lost the .vmc
