I was defragging my VPC hard drive this morning. After the defrag I looked at the report of files not defragged. According to the report my vhd file for one of my VMs is in 18,466 fragments. That can't be good. What should I do?

If I install a windows 2003 server on a virtual client of a windows 2000 PC. Will the virtual windows 2003 server inherint windows 2000's limitation of 10 connections? Thanks

I have an Intel Pro/1000 NIC in my PC. When a VPC loads, it shows the NIC as an Intel 21140 Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter. Everything works and I can use both the physical PC and the Virtual PC to do whatever I want to do on the LAN.

i have vpc 2004 demo running on xp and i am trying to get at least my win98 guest comunicating with host, i can get guest - guest with loopback adapter but not host - guest any ideas?

I have tried to install SolidWorks on VPC2004 but for some reason SW can't find the hardware dongle that is connected to my printerport. Are there known problems with dongles or can it be something special with SW? Have anyone managed to use SW with a dongle on VPC?
