When I capture Virtual Disk Precompacter.iso, precompact.exe shows up in the
E: drive of my OS/2 Warp4 VM. When I attempt to execute it, WIN-OS/2 (WIN
3.1) tells me the program cannot be found. File Manager under WIN-OS/2 does
not show precompact.exe in the Directory of the CD ...

Hi, im trying to virtualize some of my old dev servers and have setup
a server with MS virtual server, ADS, and Virtual Server Migration
toolkit.  I have followed all the steps in the instuctions and can't
get it to work.

I shut down all my virtual machines and closed Virtual PC. Installed SP1 and
re-booted my host PC. loaded up Virtual PC and started my virtual machines,
installed / updated the Additions and re-booted them. Since that was done my
virtual machines are running really really slowly. ...

I cannot access the cd drive with win xp as the host os and win 2003 standard
server as the virtual os. In the vpc console at the bottom of the screen, I
right-click the cd icon and select "use physical drive d", but in the virtual
os I just get a "please insert a disk into drive ...

I'm new to VPC.  I've read many posts but none seem to be clear as day how
the internet sharing works exactly.
What I've seen so far is that NAT Sharing Network is the best option to use
due to ease of configuration.  I've chosen this option in VPC2004.

Virtual Pc 2004 with SP1 run instable in notebook Toshiba Satellite A45-S150
(1GB RAM) with Windows XP SP2.  The same image runs OK in a desktop.

As many of you know, there have been problems running Fedora Core on Virtual
PC.  The workaround has been to install a custom kernel that is known to
work.  The problem is that the Fedora kernels have the 4G/4G patch

We are still running an NT 4 domain.  My host OS (WinXP Pro) and 2 of my 3
VMs (all running WinXP Pro) can log in fine, but the third one can't find the

Trys and always fails with the message that the installer was interrupted.
I have uninstalled and re-installed VPC countless times.
Host OS is XP Pro SP2, but have also tried from SP1.
