I'm using VPC SP1 on XP SP1. Dell 1150 with 1 GB ram I created a W2K3 image with 2 virtual HDs (FAT32), 2 nics. Everything worked fine until I attempted to start a second image--things began crashing. Now, if I load an image (even if it's just one only), it appears to start up

I am unable to install Virtual PC on my XP maching. I get a message box stating " 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime." This is the first time I've run into this error and have never installed it on this PC before.

These days I got a problem logging on to DC after VPC image is saved. After saving state and shutting down the DC image, other clients get problem logging on to the DC. They need to log on as local admin and should re-enter the domain to log on as a domain user.

I have a pc running 2003 server with virtual pc 2004 installed. It is setup as a DC with the ip 192.168.1.10 / 255.255.255.0. I have a 2 virtual pc's setup with 2003 server that have ip's 192.168.2.10, and 192.168.3.10, repectively, both class C.

I am trying to find the guest VM's hostname or Ip address from the Hostmachine. Is this possible?? If so, how?? How does virtual pc generates the guest VM hostname?? any standard algorithm it follows to generate the hostname??

Has anyone successfully installed a checked OS build on a virtual pc? I tried installing a debug 2K Pro build today. Following the final reboot, I get nothing but blue screens. Are checked builds simply not supported, or is there a workaround?
