Virtual PC 2004 Startup Error.31 Dec 2004 23:53 GMT3
I have just installed VirtualPC 2004 with sp1. The OS on the box is Windows
Xp. I created a virtual machine to mimic Windows 2003 Server.
However, when I try to start it, after the reboot sequence and it goes to
the second screen and comes up with the error message
Unable to communitcate with host31 Dec 2004 20:16 GMT5
I have gone through all the articles, Help, Newsgroup etc and tried every
solution provided there but unabe to communicate with host. Network settings
for my virtual network are as follows:
Hardware configuration: Celeron 2.4D, MSI VIA Motherboard with onboard LAN
Cannot find server or DNS Error31 Dec 2004 20:13 GMT3
I just installed Virtual PC Version 7  with Windows 2000 Pro. Everything
appears ok. Windows update works fine, Symantic LiveUpdate works fine.
When I start up Internet Explorer, I keep getting "Cannot find server or DNS

I would like to run a setup file in my virtual machine, but this setup file
is located on the host running VPC.
I'm using the 'shared folders' option to get access to the files on the host.
But I always get a file transfer error when the setup program is running -

I keep getting this error that says (bad username or password) how do you
stop this.
I'm getting a prompt to "insert DIsk: 1: when install the VM Addit30 Dec 2004 05:07 GMT2
I just applied VPC SP1 and when I attempt to install the VM Addition updates
to a W2K machine I get a dialog box half way through the "coping new files"
process asking me to "Please insert the disk:1". What is causing this message
and how can I resolve this prompt?

any issues with this configuration, also can I create Virtual PC server O/S
builds with a Media Center PC.

I have a host machine running Winindows Server 2003 and VPC2004, Win XP
Professional be the guest os. I can ping/access my host machine from  guest
os Win Xp, and I can also  ping/access my guest os Win Xp from host
machine(2003), but I can't ping /access any other IP /machine ...
