Windows Update Problems04 Dec 2004 22:37 GMT2
I have installed the Windows update on my Virual PC and it went through the
whole process of putting the service pack 2 on.  Now, after restarting, the
startup screen has said, "Please Wait..." for three or four hours.  Do I just
have to keep waiting?  I've turned it off and ...
VPC 2004 SP1 and VPN tunnels04 Dec 2004 22:35 GMT1
On my host WinXP SP2 system, I run watchguard VPN (which uses SafeNet).
Ever since I installed SP1, and I start a client VPC which uses Cisco VPN, I
would get a BSOD on the host from IPSECDRV.SYS (this is the watchguard VPN)

Feature Request04 Dec 2004 22:28 GMT5
It would be nice to have more control over the emulated hardware that the
virtual PC "guests" have.  I use VPC to play older games that are
incompatible with WinXP and this is by far the best solution out there but it
needs more than simple S3 video and ISA sound emulation.

I want to use Virtual PC to test my applications on a clean machine. As soon

with some angst about trying to install various distros on the *new and
improved* Virtual PC. I finally made the jump when my trusty ...

vmc file corrupted?04 Dec 2004 00:58 GMT6
I manually open an .vmc file and edit the value.
After save, I can't open the guest anymore. Delete and add also failed.
I didn't edit anything, actually. I just tested, hit on spacebar to add a space, and hit on backspace to undo. After save, the file unusable. VPC said it's not a ...
VPC 2004 SP1 and VPN tunnels (HELP!)04 Dec 2004 00:45 GMT1
I am not sure if it is important to flag the post as a question to get a
response, so I'm doing that this time...
On my host WinXP SP2 system, I run watchguard VPN (which uses SafeNet).
Ever since I installed SP1, and I start a client VPC which uses Cisco VPN, I
