VPC runs very slow, it took 4hrs to install windows media centre but it an
install of windows xp and it took the avg 30/40 mins??

I want to set up a new VM (W2K) but in the VM I want the date to be
different than what is on the main PC (WinXP). The reason is that I have
some training software that is set to expire at the end of the year;

I'm a new user of Virtual PC 2004(Licensed product). Can I creat a virtual
hard disk of Win98 on NTFS hard disk? I have learned that Windows98 cannot be

after starting setup of xp pro from disk, i get to the user agreement page,
where it says to press : F8 I agree,  Esc Do not agree

I am compiling information for use in a standards document for our company's
use of virtual pc.  I would welcome any thoughts on tried and true advice,
techniques, pre-reqs, operational procedures, etc.

When I launch VPC 2004, Zonealarm tells me it is trying to access
152.160.1.1:echo.  Is this normal?  What is vpc trying to do?

are connected via Linksys wireless router to cable modem.  Both see the
internet.  Both see each other in Windows Explorer.  Attempting to view

This sounds gay, but it's a request from my superiors, so... here it goes!
We would like to know if there is a way to change the "Virtual HD" in the
virtual pc Device Manager, and in the System Information?  Also, the "System
Information/System Model" reads "Virtual Machine" and ...

I want to install Suse Linux 9.1 Prof. in VPC. But every
time when installing from DVD or CD after loading the
Kernel from Linux a black screen appears and do not
disappear!

I just solved this problem and figured that someone else would find
this hint useful.  I am using Virtual PC 7 under Mac OS X.
