Creating a virtual directory inside VPc to a shared folder04 Jan 2005 00:59 GMT1
When I try to create a virtual directory in IIS from inside a vpc and use a
shared folder (from the main pc as the folder.) I get a error icon.
I think I should use a "\\server\Shared folder\" instead of z:\ but I think
VPC uses a different approach for shring that floder and that ...
VPC SP1 and LPT103 Jan 2005 21:37 GMT6
I just installed VPC SP1 to address stability issues with a Win98 Guest OS.
However, a CAD application (the main reason we're _running_ VPC!) on the
Guest cannot find the hardware dongle on LPT1 anymore, despite it being
clearly listed under the Virtual Machine's settings.

included in the VPC additions?  I need more than "provides stability and
various performance enhancements".
Optimize differencing disk size.03 Jan 2005 16:53 GMT3
Ok, this is how I understand differencing disk sizes.
1) You can't compact them.
2) Compacting impacts the actual size.
3) Compacting does very little for the NTFS compressed size or winzip
Installing Win98 when NTFS partitions exist03 Jan 2005 13:41 GMT2
Is it possible to install Windows 98SE as a virtual PC when NTFS partitions

the Win98 CD in R: and run setup.exe.  It runs the 'routine' checks and
displays a message saying that setup cannot continue due ...

48 Bit LBA on linked drives?03 Jan 2005 02:50 GMT1
I'm just experimenting with Virtual PC and have hit a problem.
I have a 250Gb drive that I would like to access from inside the Virtual PC.
I've set it as a Linked Drive, but appears that the VPC does not support 48
bit LBA, as the drive only appears as 136Gb in the BIOS.

I have a PCMIA card device from Echelon called a PCC10 card.  This card
