Hi people,
I am getting extremely annoyed with the problem I am having.
I am following the MS Press book for 70-215.
I am using Virtual PC 2004 for my network environment.

I can not get the Play/Pauze, Media, Favorites, E-mail, WWW keys on a
MultiMedia keyboard to work on a Windows 98 runnning as a virtual PC 2004 on
Windows XP host. When I press any of the these keys the host (XP) capture
them.

I currently have 3 virtual machines installed on my box.
i have 2 XP clients and 1 win2003 server
My physical computer is on a 2003 network already so the 3 virtual machines

I struggled for a while to convince the S3 driver to use my laptop full
screen WXGA (1280x800) resolution,  not even being able to go beyond the
VESA standard resolutions (all 4:3).
Then I found that is possible to provice a combination of parameters for the
Mouse NG in Fedore Core 3 after up2date07 Feb 2005 20:17 GMT2
After allowing up2date to install all updates on Fedora Core 3 under VPC SP1,
and rebooting the VPC with the new kernel, the boot fails at the X server
stage with "cannot open /dev/psaux" and a configuration error on Mouse0.
Reverting to the VPC test kernel with the Grub loader ...

setting is currently set to "Allow any screen resolution".  One problem I'm

I am trying to setup a scenario where guest OS would be
able to communicate with host OS. According to VPC documentation,

There is definitely a problem with Virtual PC 2004 SP1, if the host PC goes
to standby or hibernation. Until Microsoft deliver a fix for this, I have
found a combination which works quite well, certainly with XP and NT as guest
operating systems.

My XP is connected to the network and I able to see shared

I got this error message yesterday.  I was trying to run VMWare on a VPC
VM....  I get the message at the point where I try to start a VMWare virtual
machine.

To anyone,
I was just turned down for a purchase of VPC because someone (mystery
person) claims that auto-pushing of Windows patches would NOT be possible
(programs like patch link, etc.); and that the product would take control of

I had to Archive and Install my mac OS now I can't get into the Virtual PC.  
Does anyone know the serial number?
