I use VPC2004SP1 on a W2K based host system.
Well, I had some problems, most of them however resulted from the use of the
Sygate firewall.
One problem remains, and I did not find a solution:

My Host is WinXP SP2 and VP is Win98SE.

I have been running VMWare in Suse 8.1 with XP as the virtual machine.  We
are hoping to switch things around i.e. Use XP with MS Virtual PC running
Suse OS.  VMware performance was acceptable, XP ran find within WMWare.

I have created two virtual machines each having its own virtual hard disk.
When the OS was installed on the virtual machines, they used whatever the
default drivers were. I have not installed device drivers separately after

I installed the Virtual PC 2004 some time back.
I am unable to ping the guest OS(Win/ Lin) from the host OS(XP) though i am
able to ping the host OS frm the guest OS and access the web/ftp server from
the guest OS.

Sorry another internet connection question, but I do not have enough

All is fine until I install VM and reboot.
After the reboot the host loses network connectivity.
If I uninstall VM the host regains network connectivity.

I cant find a discussion group for Virtual Server 2005 so
I thought I might post my question here.
I have installed a W2K3 and Virtual Server 2005 on a 1GB
dual processor with IDE drives server.
