My aim is to programmatically determine the host machine on which the virtual PC is running from within the virtual machine environment. I need either the IP address / MAC address / name of the host machine. Any help in this regard would be very helpful.

We have a machine that has 4GB of RAM. We would like Virtual Server 2005 to fully utilize this RAM. We plan on running it on Windows 2003 Standard. We think all we need is the /PAE switch on the boot.ini. I think the /3gb switch is bad as it relates to Virtual Server 2005.

Really wierd thing... I installed RH Enterprise AS perfectly in Virtual PC - started in text mode, and then ran X - the desktop came up. Rebooted. Now, when I run X, I get a black screen with the X Cursor on it, and nothing else.

I have a DOS virtual PC and it seems to work just fine. My problem is that mouse speed is WAY to high when I use it in the VPC. I've tried to set it down on my real (host) computer, but that didn't have any effect on the VPC. Can anybody help me?
