Hello there, at the school I work at we're trying to make sure that no
changes get applied to the hard drive when the session ends in VPC2004.
We have found the option to create an 'undo' file but the user still gets
the option to save changes back to the HD image or undo changes, ...

I had 2 guest os on my vp and i could ping one from the other, my computer is
not connected to any network.i used local on the network cards of the guest
machines.
my problem is after adding the third guest i could not ping the third

I've installed 2000 and 98SE without incident, but the Virtual PC does not
recognize the Windows ME disc at all.  Any ideas?

I have made an image of a 2003 Server (IBM) using ghost.  I can create a new
Virtual PC and boot it with a ghost boot CD which connects to my share and
downloads the image and completes with no errors.   However when I restart
the VPC it hangs at a black screen just after the ...

SP1 and 2004 Trial, all of them give me the same error.

I know this isn't really a VPC question but it does involve me wanting to
put my VPC files on this hard disk. Here goes:
I have Win XP Pro SP2
I also have an external Lacie 250GB hard disk I want to store my Virtual PC

I have a PC with XP on one partition and SBS 2003 on the other. I would like
to create a VPC image of the SBS partition. I also have Ghost and VMWare.
What are the steps I should take ?

When I was on dial-up I would dial-up to my ISP from a guest OS in VPC and
the host OS would remain off line.  I was hoping I could achieve the same
with my cable connection (my PC is now hooked up to a broadband router).  I
want to keep the host off-line at all times but still ...

What and where do you get v5.2 of VPC from? I see a lot about that version on
Microsoft's website but you can't seem to purchase it anywhere. Also, has
anyone had any luck installin Linux (Redhat) or Mandrake with VPC? Microsoft
doesn't have a great deal of info on VPC other than ...

I know officinal Microsoft doesn't support usb device in virtual pc. But my
guest os is windows 2000 pro. Can it work with a usb palm device? Does

When I copy files from guest to host the date  and time for last change of
the files changes to "copying date and time"! (Not that problem for the
opposite direction.)
