We cannot communicate with a PLC controller through the COM1 port when using VPC with the host being Windows 2000 and the Virtual PC being Windows 98. The hour glass appears then it times out. Any ideas?

I have seen in many other threads on this forum questions/comments surrounding DVD image support (or lack there of) in Virtual PC. Barring the technical reasons that may or may not make sense, why on earth does this product not support DVD devices themselves.

Ist it possible to hide a network device, so that the host can't use the device, but the virtual machine has the possibility to use the network device. It's important that the host machine can't use that device, caused of the group policies.
