To create the OS on a virtual disk, can i use a regular iso image of a regular windows os disk? (does it have to a bootable image?) If so, are there any out on web? Thanks!

Can I use an MSDN .iso image of operating system? Can I use the MSDN operating system CD/DVD? Does it have to be a bootable image or can I use a regular windows cd to install the os for a virtual disk?

I have a physical PC with 9 physical COM ports (through DIGI PCI card). I will install a virtual Windows 3.11 in it but before I wanted to know if I will be able to see if I 'll see 3 COM ports from the Virtual Win3.11., or Virtual PC is restricted by design to 2 or 1 com port... ...

Im running xp pro with virtual pc 2004 + spack 1 and have windows 2003 server installed as VS. I have sql 2000 installed on the 2000 VS and am attempting to install spack 3 for sql 2000 / keeps coming up with invalid win 32 app... any ideas on how to overcome this ?
