I've installed Windows 98 under VPC2004 but every time I try to run the session it stops with a WIN32 exception. I installed DOS 7.1 first and then ran setup off of the CD. Any thoughts?

I work in a BizTalk development team. I would like to start doing development on my own PC - within Virtual PC, instead of on the shared development server. I have Visual Studio and Visual Source Safe (VSS client) installed on my VPC.

I have host PC on XP Pro, with the mouse speed ramped all the way up. I installed W2K Pro on the VPC, and the mouse speed slows WAYY down whenver I'm in there, and it even slows it down on the host PC when the VPC window is active.

Heads up. Installing the Tiger update to OSX when VPC is already installed may disable Virtual Switching (unable to use). This means your Virtual Machine cannot receive a separate IP address from your DHCP server and thus cannot connect to the network or the Internet.

Just purchased VPC 2004 ... not yet installed. Purchased it to HOPEFULLY provide functionality of old DOS programs in XP. Question, is DOS run in VPC as ROBUST as it would be if booted by itself? Are there any limitations VPC imposes of DOS run as a guest? TIA, Vic

I'd like to create a network of several VMs. Alas, the physical machine doesn't have enough memory to accommodate the network. Is it possible to deploy the network of VMs on two or more physical machines? Thank you.

Does anyone know of a way to deploy all of the Options that can be set for VPC. I found the regkey for Security but need to deploy the settings to "Hide Messages" and change the "Performance Options"?

I'm using a brand new laptop with Windows XP SP2. With my former computers when I wanted to chat I just needed to sign in to the Yahoo Canada and the applet loaded fast and only the first time it prompted me to download a file. I did not have to install a VM.
