I am new to Linux and VPC. I am frustrated that two installs of Linux have each resulted in similarly unusable configurations under VPC. I have tried four distributions of Linux and have yet to get one that seems "OK".

I recently purchased a new system running XP Pro/SP2 which has 4GB of RAM. If I go to My Computer and look at properties, I see it shows that I only have 2.8GB or something another. Why does XP show this? The BIOS screen detects all memory.

How can I make the disk bigger for VPC 2004? It would seem when I go and install and OS, there is already a default size given. I can't change it. What happens if my C: drive runs out of space under VPC 2004?

I want to set up a virtual network lab using two computers. One computer will host virtual servers and other computer will host virtual pcs. After setting up the lab. student can access this lab through internet (using VPN or RAS). All the ideas are welcomed.

I have Win2k in an Virtual PC. It starts in 640x480. I set the resolution to 1024x768, then shutdown the machine (via Start/Shutdown). When I restart, the VM goes back to 640x480. What can I do to make the resolution stick around.
