What happens when a program attempts to access I/O ports from programs running in a DOS VPC? From the info I've read you can't access any real Hardware boards in the PC (besides the COM, LPT or NIC) but will VPC complain about the access or just

I've installed Virtual PC 2004 with and without SP1. I've installed Virtual Machine Additions. All the virtual machine I've works right, but none accepts caracters like @ or \.

Is there any way for a guest operating system to use a VPN established with the host operating system. For example - Would it be possible to create a VPN in Windows XP and use that VPN to send data from an OS/2 guest.

I tried copying the .vhd and .vmc of a baseline vpc i created to a new folder. Then i renamed the .vhd and mass replaced all references in the .vmc. No matter what i do when i try to add the newly copied and renamed vpc i get the following error :

I recently installed VPC on one of my PCs and had it connected to my network and working fine. I then took a copy of the VPC and restored it on another machine on the network. I then assigned it a new computer name and released and renewed the IP address.
