Hardware Standard for virtual machine not recognized.04 Aug 2005 04:14 GMT9
This is probably a little backwards but I was using Virtual Server and
created several desktop OS virtual machines. I recently went back to using
Virtual PC. Now each time I start one of the existing desktop OS virtual
machines, I receive the following message:

Networking03 Aug 2005 06:55 GMT3
How do you configure internet connectivity, while allowing for local
networking?
Details:
- Two VPCs running WIndows Server 2003
Performance - VPC 2004/SP1 with additions slow stop/go :-(03 Aug 2005 02:19 GMT2
I reloaded my laptop with toshiba Tecra A4 Image and then ran windows update.
I then installed VPC2004/SP1 and added my Win2K3 VPC Image.  the Image has
stop/go behavior that I do not see on other machines like the mouse freezing
or browser taking forever to load a local page.
What is the best "host" OS for running virtual PC?03 Aug 2005 01:21 GMT3
I plan on using VPC for most of my work on WinXPsp2 (doing .NET).  I was
thinking that having a host OS of WinXP would be a waste of memory and that I
should use Win98 since it has a smaller footprint.  I then could allocate
more memory to the "client" OS.

Convert Undo Disk to Differencing Disk02 Aug 2005 19:37 GMT2
I have been wondering this for a while so I thought I would ask.
As an undo disk and a diff disk is basically the same thing (they both
have parent disks and store the changes to itself not the parent) so
is it possible to convert an undo disk to a diff disk?

Does anybody know offhand if it's possible to have more then 2 COM
Ports within a Virtual PC?  What I mean is, if my physical PC has its'
2 standard COM ports as well as 1 additional COM port from an expansion
card will all three show up in the Virtual PC options to redirect?
Problem with PC Emulator in Visual Studio 200302 Aug 2005 10:26 GMT2
I have been using VPC to host Visual Studio 2003 for convenience in
training and I have had little problem with it. I have now tried to
use it for Mobile Applications and it complains about the emulator
being run on another emulator.
