I have Virtual PC 2004 installed on my desktop and use it alot without any
problems what so ever.
But Installing and using it on my notebook as caused more problems than it's
worth.

Can someone help me out? I need more information about Virtual PC. I am
trying to find out how the disk allocation and de-allocation works in Virtual

I'm trying to boot WinPE 2005 in VPC 2004sp1 using the RBFG pxe floppy from
a RIS server. (To setup a test environment.)
All seems to proceed well, it gets a dhcp address, downloads the tftp files

I have a VM running with Shared NAT, now this VM gets assigned an IP
address by the NAT. When I try to access the VM services, e.g., remote

After I install vpc(window 2003 svr) in my xp, i try to send ping to vpc but
didnot work...

Ok I think I understand now. However is there a way to take the difference
image and move it to another machine that has the same base image as the
first computer without having to merge the two disks?

for this machine I have a VirtualPC (Base Image) with just an operating
system attached.  The sales reps need to demonstrate different products based

was very helpful to me setting up MS Virtual PC Trial.  The question I have
is How do you install and run games on this?  I installed a few games but
