Can Win2003 Server run Virtual PC 2004?20 Aug 2005 00:09 GMT6
I have Win2003 Server running on server class hardware.  I'd like to install
Virtual PC 2004 and install WinXP Pro guest OS.  Is this a supported
installtion of the Virtual PC product?
If not, would I need Virtual Server even though my guest OS is WinXP?

If you use a modem on your host machine, shared networking is inordinately
confusing, as attested by a number of posts in this newsgroup.
I may have found the solution:

We use Virtual PC (VPC) to run unattended tests of our dotNet application.
This how we do it :
- No user in logged on the host XP machine
- the scheduler runs a batch file that start a VPC (W2000 Pro)

Often I will find that when I am working on my VPC image (hosted on XPPro)
the sceen will not refresh, I will either have to drag the window off the
monitor, and back on or minimize and restore the screen to see the change.
