I've got a Celeron 1.7 w/ 2GB RAM and I've tried running my VPC's on an external USB2 5400RPM drive and on the same drive as my laptop. Regardless, on occassion, the VPC will seemingly lock up for no reason, and then come back to life... it won't respond to any mouse clicks or ...

I have Virtual PC installed on mutliple PC's on my network. When I ping the Virtual PC names they all return the same IP address. Is there a work around for this other than assigning static addresses?

After I installed SP1 for VPC on my Laptop (ASUS V6V) it now seems to lock the screen on the VPC until I resize then is refreshes again. you I cant control my VPC. Any ideas?

Greetings to all, I'm running Virtual PC 2004 (Build 582) on an XP Pro SP 2 system. The Guest OS's are XP Pro SP 2 (a seperate copy) and Server 2003 Enterprise (Build 3790) It's set up as a small Domain for working on my MSCA.

Is there any way to change the default location that Virtual PC will try to save files to? Right now, it keeps trying to save to the users my docs location. We are redirecting my docs folders to our dfs and this is impacting performance.

I've been told, that while not supported by Microsoft, Virtual PC can be installed and run on a Terminal Server 2003. I need to make available to my remote staff some beta installs that are only available as Virtual images. Has anyone attempted this?

I don't know if it is possible, however: It would be nice if one can carry around a (portable) version of Virtual PC and his vmc/vhd files on a usb disk and be able to launch his VPC directly, even on guest account (or on PCs that don't have VPC installed).
