I have a new laptop with no floppy drive that I have successfully installed
VP on; but cannot install an OS on it.  The laptop is running XP and I'd like
to install 98se on the VM; but cannot get past the "reboot and select your
boot device or insert boot disk in selected boot ...

I have a couple different Linux images (Fedora 3 and Ubuntu) that
usually work fine. I recently got a new machine with 2GB of RAM (for
VPC usage!) and upped the RAM on all of to machines above 512MB.  The

I have just installed Virtual PC 2004, on a machine that connects to the
Internet via a network card.  I am new to VirtualPC.
During installation an error comes up warnign that the Network Services
Driver was not installed.  It suggests rebooting and running Install.BAT in

on windows xp machine running virtual pc i want to have 2 network cards:
1 for the host and the other dedicated to virtual pc
how can i tell windows xp not to use the second card (while it receives it's
ip from the same dhcp server)

Can I use Virtual PC 2004 with Win XP Pro as the host operating system and
then set-up Win 2003 Server as a guest operating system?
The idea being to use the Win XP host for daily tasks and the Win 2003
Server guest for web application development using VS.Net 2005 and SQL Server
