I have VPC 2004 running on XP SP2.  I want to create a virtual windows 2000
domain so that I can test some things without it actually being o my network.
I have 2 virtual machines both running win2k server.  I have one I promoted
to a DC and the other I want to have a member ...

I built a 2000DC VM complete with DNS, DHCP scopes etc. I restored it with
system state from a production 2000DC. The restoration gave no error messages
and upon restart do not have mouse or keyboard control.
Did the same process with a 2003 DC, lost control of the mouse, then ...

The virtual drive is is set to use use local  interface. So not on external
network.
Plenty of memory.
The windows 2003 server virtual drive likes to reboot unexpectedly.

I was wondering if anyone has installed Microsoft's patch 899525 (to

chaged workgroup name but it still can't see my xp workgroup. i noticed that
vista is using 10.237.0.1 and DNS server is in IPV6 format (hex values). what
i am missing that my vista can't communicate with ...

I have two pcs that I want to run virtual pc on. Can I map a drive from on
machine running virtual pc to a total different machine running virtual pc?

Host OS is XP Pro, guest OS is Win98. Can the Win98 Virtual Machine see and
use ISA cards?

I'm wondering if there is any way to "slipstream" the service pack into the
installation.  If not, I'll write a script to install the service pack.  I
see a bunch of .mst files there, but I'm not sure if there is a transform
editor that I can use.  

I want to create a two nic virtual machine.  How can I do this?

According to the "What works" website, Scientific Linux 4.2 is supposed to
work on VPC if you set the monitor and color depth properly.
I haven't been able to make it work, so I wonder what I'm doing
wrong/differently.

As ISO image is commonly used for VPC, I would like to know is there any
application is recommended for creating ISO image from CD ROM and FLP image
from Floppy Disk.
Besides, is there any freeware available ?

i have dell oem install cds for 2000,XP,2003, however when i try to install
them on a virtual pc it says must be installed on dell hardware.  i have
tried installing on a dell gx260, gx270, pe1800 and get the same error.
