The host windows xp is in a w2000 net, with a domain with a standard network card. The virtual machine has also win xp, but i want to use a new wifi card to connect to an ADSL net. I need both connected, the normal to domain, and wifi connected to the ADSL connection.

I was wondering whether anyone has attempted to provide redundancy to a physical domain using vpcs? I have an environment with 5 servers, 1 DC, 1 exchange, 1 sharepoint, 1 terminal services and 1 isa firewall.

I have a laptop that that I want to clone and run in a virtual machine on a desktop host. What is the standard way of making a virtual disk from a physical disk and do I need to be concerned about the differences in hardware between the two?

I've installed a fresh copy of Windows XP SP2 under Virtual PC 2004 SP1. The installation is an original Microsoft Windows XP select CD version. I had no problems installing windows and no modifications were made, but am having a problem running a Windows Update.

I have a Toshiba M3 with a Marvell Yukon 88E8053 PCI-E gigabit adapter, but the guest machine (XP SP2) doesn't see it. Device manager on the guest shows that the emulated network card cannot start (code 10). I can probably get round for what I want this by using a loopback, but
