VPC 5.3.582.27 on WinXP Pro 5.1.2600, SP2.
I'm an MSDN subscriber and I have tried installing WinXP SP2 twice each from
Discs 2428.7 and 2428.8.  Many hours down the tubes.  :-(  Screen shots:

I have Slackware 10.2 installed on VirtualPC and would like to
be able to send a file from WindowsXP to Slackware.  Is this
possible and if so where do I start?

I know these are really basic questions but I don't see the answers in the
VPC 2004 help file or any of the sites listed in the "Mini newsgroup FAQ"
message I'll ask here.  I brand-new to VPC and would hate to make a newbie
mistake and have to reinstall the WinXP Pro guest.

active (whether full screen or not), pressing (left) Alt+F4 is processed by

I have a VM base image with all of my apps, patches, etc on it.  I want to
copy that VM image to 12 other PC's to use in a lab setting.  After copying
the base image, I will need to add each VM to a Domain
1) Do I need to sysprep the base image or can I just copy the *.vmc & *.vhd ...

I have got 2 nic in my machine. The one is Ethernet and the otherone is
wireless.
I use the wireless for internet and get a DHCP address from the router.

After booting from the CD, or DVD, or ISO in VPC, and selecting the
Solaris10 default (top of the list) it goes to a screen that says "SunOS
Release 5.10 Version Generic_ etc", the cursor blinks endlessly and the host
(WinXP SP2) CPU is being used 99% by VirtualPC.exe.  As described ...

I have made a share folder on my host. The Host is XP and guest is 2003.
Host IP is 192.168.1.1 and Guest is 192.168.1.2. I cant ping the host from
the guest. I have selected 2 network cards on virtual machine. 1st is my Nic
( that is the card the host configured for 192.168.1.1) ...

Running OSX 10.3.9 on a dual 1.8Ghz G5, VPC 7.0.2.  I have VPC in full
screen mode on my second display.  After I work on the primary display,
especially if I do any text input, and then click on the VPC display,
the VPC display sometimes freezes even though the mouse pointer stays
