When I load w2k3 server into VPC it configures as a cluster node which is not
what I want. I'm studying for the MCSE exams and need to set up a domain
controller, DNS, DHCP ect. Is there something that I can do to rectify this?

Please accept my apology if this has been answered; I've searched and found
many threads which suggested setting the network adapter to "local only" but
none to actually configure the VM to use the "Local only" adapter. I think
I'm missing something simple or trivial here.....

I created a linked-disk vhd, linked to a 200gb  IDE drive.  I added the vhd
as a secondary disk in a clean Windows XP Home install (w/SP2 and all
updates).  When I start the VM, after a couple of minutes, I get "Delayed

i have couple Virtual Server 2005 and configured the guest o/s to auto start.
I have create an account and assighend him the proper permissions. The  
machines start but then aftger couple hours the I check the NTFS permissions
when i store my VMC/VHDs the user is Goen, ...

Please can someone be patient enough to explain, step by step and in simple
language, how to set up my host and virtual pc to communicate with each
