Ok, first, I am NOT expecting VPC to use both my monitors, that is not my
concern, however, I do expect to be able to use OTHER apps on my Host OS that
are running on my second display.

How do the licenses work when dealing with Virtual PC?  Does each pc that's
connected need their own personal license or is there an allowance for each

I have a Digital Video Broadcasting capture card. It is installed as a NIC on
host machine. But when I install it on VPC by choosing as second adapter in
Networking settings, it seems to be "Intel 21140-Based PCI Fast Ethernet
Adapter (Generic) #2" in VPC and does not work ...

i have just installed SP2 and now my connectix virtual pc no longer works,
it tells me that i need to disable PAE mode but i cannot seem to do this
any advise is welcome - or is this a microsoft plan to make me upgrade????

I recently installed Vista beta 2 x86 via VPC2004 on my system, which is
equipped with a dual-core athlon 64 x2 4400 and 2 GB of RAM.  Everything is
fine except for one thing.  It is unclear that whether VPC2004 supports a
dual core CPU or not.  My CPU normally runs at 2.2 Ghz ...

I'm using at the moment the virtual pc trial version. There I can only create
a disk with 16 GB. For a trial system with vista and office 2007 this is a
little bit small.
Is there the posibility in the real version to create greater disks??

Ok I am lost here and feel like a right dumb a**, sorry.
I have VPC installed and my 2000, xp, win98 hosts all connect to the
internet via NAT.
MY 2003 Server does not, it was a fresh install, added SP1, added NAT,

When I use a virtual marchine in full screen mode, I can not see its
taskbar, because my PC taskbar is still on the screen and tehrefore hide the
virtual machine's one. Is this make sense?

I uninstalled V Additions but opening a doc in my Host typing my password for
the Virtual login and selected the Right Alt + V and it typed it in for me to
access the virtual but still no keyboard!!

Can I run my VM's VHDs from a file server?  Pardon all the acronyms :)  Let
me explain.  Currently I have some physical workstations running live apps
that store data on the local drive.  I have to protect the data.
I would like to migrate them to VM and run the VHD ( and .vmc) ...

They say it is free, but you can't run it without IIS, which I cannot find
anywhere.  Can anyone enlighten me?  Is IIS free too?  Where can you
