I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this issue: On my Dell Latitude D610 laptop with Broadcome NIC I cannot get VPC 2004 SP1 to recognize the NIC. This occurs when VPC is installed after XPSP2 is installed.

I have downloaded this software several times from the Microsoft downloads site, and each time I click on the setup file, I receive the error message, "The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel."

I'm unable to get the vpc to read a CD-Rom. VPC reconizes it but I can't get DOS to read it. I think I have to load the device commands in config.sys & autoexec.bat but I can't remember them. Do I also have to find a DOS driver for my modern day CD dirve? Does VPC
