hey all, i'm using differencing on one of my vpc and was wondering if there was anyway to compact it to make sure it's efficient. i know how to precompact and compact one without differencing. just curious.

I have MS Virtual PC with a WinXP host running over AMD 4200+. Every 3 minutes network connectivity between the host and guest dies for anywhere from 3 to 18 minutes. (I've written a program to ping host to guest, and gather stats on when it loses comms and for how long.)

Trying to create a virtual machine to run vista rc1 on when I turn on the new virtual machine and click the CD menu, so i can capture the ISO image, virtual pc stops responding completely. Can anyone help??

I am having an issue with this vhd. I get it to boot and load and do the install, but each reboot after that, it launches the bootdisk and nbot the OS. I know its something simple I am not doing, but 98 builds seem years ago!

I noticed that when I use network monitor or any sniffer on the guest OS, it is not capturing traffic on the a hub connected LAN that include the Host OS. Moreover, traffic from Host OS to any other PC is not captured. I think this is related to The Virtual Machine Network ...
